Turkey Day!!!

This year we hosted Thanksgiving in our home! My mom and I did most of the cooking with the exception of the dressing and I must say we did pretty good!! We enjoyed time with family that was much needed and I am so grateful for all of the blessings I have. The only thing that was missing was my sister Abby but she will be here for Christmas and I can't wait to celebrate with her then!

Before!! My first attempt at a turkey!

Not bad!! Taylor was excited we got to eat his turkey!

Emma's turn to help cook!

Me and my love!! I am so thankful for him!!!

Our happy family!!!

Our spread!!

I am so so so thankful for everything the good Lord has blessed me with in my lifetime!! I am beyond blessed with an amazing, wonderful and supportive husband, two beautiful and sweet children, loving family, faithful friends and a forgiving father. I just hope they know how much they mean to me!!!! I promise to be thankful for this every day of my life!

Turkey, Turkey, Turkey!!

The week of Thanksgiving was a busy one!!

Emma had a Thanksgiving program at school and then lunch afterwards. This is the first year I have been able to eat with her and I really enjoyed it! I hope they continue to do it every year.

Taylor participated in a Turkey Trot at school. A girl and boy were picked out of each Kindergarten class to compete in a half mile race. Taylor had been telling us for weeks he was going to win. We tried to prepare him for the fact that he might not win but he was not having it. Boy was he right!!! He not only won but he did it by a mile!! We were so very proud of him!! His prize was a turkey and he was even more excited that we would get to eat it on Thanksgiving!

Taylor's class made signs for him!

On your mark, get set, GO!!!

Taylor won!!!!

Nut Fest 2011 :)

We took the kids on their annual trip to the National Peanut Festival. Taylor did not feel good but he tried so hard to convince me he was not sick. I didn't have the heart to tell him he couldn't go because he was looking so forward to it!!! They had a blast and we were all exhausted at the end of the day!

Scotty and Taylor in the cow building! Emma did not want any part of this picture.

I'm not a fan of goats but this little guy was so cute so I had to take a picture.

Checking out the chickens!
